I

August 11th 2007 05:28
I is a character in Japanese, pronounced ii.

I can be written in Hiragana or Katakana.

Hiragana - い - A popular mnomic to remember this by is ii for Hawaii, as the two i's at the end of Hawaii look similar and make the same sound.

Katakana - イ - A good way to remember this is that it's half of the letter I, which is it's Romanised form.

いい (Ii) is a Word meaning 'good'.
