Kanji List

April 5th 2008 11:46
What is Kanji?

Kanji are Japanese characters, generally taken form Chinese. These each have several reading. An おん よみ(On-yomi) and a くん よみ (Kun-Yomi).

おん よみ (On-Yomi) is the original Chinese reading.

くん よみ (Kun-Yomi) is the converted reading.

All Kanji have more than one reading. This can be hard to remember, but simply comes with experience.

This following Kanji list is to be constantly updated.

Two Stroke.

八 Hachi; Number 8.

We will talk about deconstructing individual Kanji later.
